Shweta Sharda represented India at the coveted 72nd Miss Universe pageant held at El Salvador on November 19 (IST).
The 23-year-old made it to the top 20 finalists but couldn’t make it to the top 10 of the pageant. However, she served some memorable looks throughout the global competition.
For the preliminary interview, Sharda, who is a dancer and choreographer, wore a pair of chic pants with a flowy tunic. The outfit was designed by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna.
The National Costume competition saw Sharda in a Nidhi Yasha creation. The heavily embroidered piece had a dramatic trail and a headgear featuring a lotus halo. The lower half resembled a mystical golden peacock, India’s national bird, with handcrafted peacock feather embroidery.
Sharda dazzled in a cut-out embellished gown for the preliminary Evening Gown presentation. She was in a Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna creation yet again and paired her navy-blue gown with gloves.
Finale day saw the Miss Diva Universe in a shimmery tassled mini dress by Lavanya Coodly. She paired the outfit with silver high heels and an electric blue handbag.
Sharda strutted the runway during the Swimsuit Round in a shiny gold monokini. The bathing suit featured a plunging neckline and was backless.
Her final Evening Gown presentation featured Sharda in a stunning red gown that was encrusted with beads all over. The outfit designed by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna featured an embellished cape as well.
